One owner (collected by me in Spring 2000 from the builder Tony Thresher). All wood (because I find it easier to "feel" Hickling's weed than my previous GRP boats) and white because I am rubbish at varnishing. Ready to sail (By me, if I had not become too old and immobile) and believed to be structurally sound. Appearance is OK from a few metres but cosmetic attention is needed to have pride in how she looks. I have only sailed in light winds for the last few years but even so, in 2018, I was monopolising the safety boat, so decided to hang up the buoyancy aid. The sail shown is an Edge hybrid and there are 2 other old but useable sails and a cut down old, heavy weather, B sail. Old but serviceable combi trailer, "Rain and Sun" cover and ancient undercover.

Traditional Norfolk Broads Half Decker
Never Can Tell 2 was built in 1906 and restored 20 years ago. She is now sailed and managed by a group of Trustees who pay a small monthly subscription. If you like the idea of having access to a half decker to sail on the broads then why not consider joining the Trustees team? She is moored on Upton Dyke. She has a one sail gaff rig which makes her easy to manage. She regularly completes the Three Rivers in the hands of one of the trustees.
If you would like to chat about this please give me a ring or email me. If you are interested we would be happy to show her off or take you out for a sail.
